Fields of Research

Research fields of the Chair for Industrial Information Management (formerly Audi-Endowed Chair of Supply Net Order Management) are business and logistic networks, corporate data management as well as enterprise systems and electronic business. On one hand the research fields take up current questions regarding the operative industrial praxis. On the other hand the transfer of innovative technologies into new applications is being researched. The activities are mainly design-orientated. Typical research results are methods, architectures, models and systems. These are mostly developed by interdisciplinary teams in cooperation with the economy. The research of the chair is positioned in the spectrum of theoretical and application orientated research.
